the girls and i spent the day together while daddy had to catch up on his zzz’s from the late night before. iliana wanted so badly to climb back into bed with daddy and could not understand why she could not go back and sleep until 2pm. amelia kept me company in the office, and neither one minded having a lazy day.
husband started a week of shift work at his job today. it’s just the beginning, but i miss him already. hurry home husband!
so we bid a fond farewell to patrick today at work. today was his last day before his wedding this saturday. everyone keep them in your thoughts for a wonderful wedding weekend!
amelia says work is overrated. i have been working about 16 hours a day this week to train a new employee for work. amelia says she and her sister are neglected and that i should just ditch work and come play with her. she says work is overrated.
we ran a million errands today. we left the house at 1:45 and did not get home until after 7. being out of town last weekend had things piled up around here. chores galore! we always have target on the list, but had to go there twice today. on the way home we realized we needed charcoal to grill out. will ran back into target for trip numero dos, while i took a spin around the parking lot. he was laughing when he came outside. he said the cashier in the lane next to his said: “didn’t i see you in here earlier today?” woops. too many visits for one day. anyways, we grilled out. like how i help? sitting in the rocking chair is very hard work!
i was a pretty big sad sack yesterday, so husband sent me some flowee. he is such a good husband. what a sweetums!
doggies wanted to go on a walk last night. we took them out and they were in heaven. you have never seen amelia get so excited. for once it was not over 90 degrees at 8pm. illiana gets tired easily and is ready to go back inside and drink water, but amelia could be content to go on a two day walk without stopping.
i just got back from florida. i met up with lori, mom, and brenda on thursday and we went on a whirl wind tour of resorts on the south-west coast. we toured captiva, santibel, marco island, and naples. we saw a ton of nice resorts, but nothing that encompassed everything lori needed to create the perfect day. the search continues, and we will find THE PERFECT PLACE. you can bet your bootie on it.
