forecast called for 12″ of snow this weekend. it snowed all night friday night, and began sleeting on saturday during the day. last night’s performance wrapped up with another dusting of snow on top of the slushy ice/snow mixture. we ended up with about 8″ inches in wake forest. we had fun hanging out in the house doing a whole lot of “nothing”. we got caught up on our laundry, dishes, wii games, bubble baths, and doggie nuggle time. we had a purely relaxing weekend. sometimes its fun to pig out and be lazy.
amelia and iliana are different when it comes to their love of the snow. iliana found it way too cold yesterday and wanted to head back indoors everytime we took them out. however, amelia found it fun to go dashing through the snow – leaping like a bunny hopper. today iliana found it a much more pleasing adventure, until her feet would fall through the snow and she would go (plunging face first) into a snow drift.
the cutest thing we saw in the snow was a tiny little path of birdie feet on our front walk and doormat. too adorable. there was a tiny path yesterday, and even more today. poor little chilly birdie. we gotta get him some food!
